Walt, WA1KKM, has won the Cover Plaque Award for his “AARA 1, Murphy 0: Our Linux Logging Program at Field Day” article. Frank Fallon N2FF, ARRL Hudson Division Director , will be making a special trip to Albany to present Walt with his award. In addition, Frank will apprise us of the latesr issues facing amateur radio, and the status of BPL.


The Albany Amateur Radio Association, Incorporated (AARA) was founded in 1912, and is an American Radio Relay League (ARRL) affiliated Amateur Radio club with 140 members. AARA is a not-for-profit organization incorported in the State of New York. The mission of the AARA is to provide a common meeting forum for Radio Amateurs, provide emergency and public service communications and to provide amateur radio operator training. Centered in the Capital District of Upstate New York, AARA operates the K2CT/RPT repeater on 145.19 MHz. The club callsign is K2CT. The Club Station Trustee is K2ONP.
